In accordance with Article 26 of the Convention and COP decision VIII/14, Parties are required to submit their fourth national report to the Executive Secretary, using the format outlined in the 4th NR guidelines. Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, in adopting a Strategic Plan, have committed themselves to achieving, bya significant reduction in the rate of biodiversity loss at the global, national and regional levels.
This fourth National Report to the CBD describes the measures taken by Uganda to implement the various Articles of the Convention and especially through implementation of the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP) and the progress it has made towards the CBD’s target and implementation of its Strategic Plan.
